Can I still change major if I
found that I am not interested in the major half way
through the 1st semester of the programme?
Change of major is not accepted after first week of semester commenced. Therefore, we strongly advise you to decide carefully
before choosing
your major. Our majoring talk which is conducted during
the last semester of your foundation year will help
you in your choice of majors. If you decide to change
mid way, you will have to start the other major from
the beginning of its semester. You are not allowed to join
the programme in the middle of the semester.
Are there specific skills that I would need
to acquire for the major I choose?
No. You will be trained during your foundation year
for all the necessary skills required for any major
during your 2 Semesters of Fundamental Studies.
What are the subjects I should prioritise during
my foundation year to prepare me for my majoring years?
All subject structured in the syllabus are important,
particularly all core / major subjects for your chosen
major.
Are the assignments / project workloads heavy?
Assignment requirements are set to suit industry needs.
Therefore, the type of practices set is practical and
require concerted effort and adequate allocation of
time for completion to achieve high quality results.
What are my options if I want to pursue a Degree
after I completed the 3 years here?
We have partner universities in the UK, the USA, Australia
and New Zealand. Depending on your major, each partner
university offers various study routes to obtain a degree.
It is good to note that our diploma is well-recognised
in these institutions and our graduates are often granted
entry into the final year of the degree programme. Read

Will I still be using the art materials that
I have purchased during my foundation year?
Yes, there are also studio courses during the majoring
years that require the use of traditional media.

MULTIMEDIA
Do I need to buy a computer?
You are encouraged to own a computer when you begin
majoring in Multimedia Design. Your own computer will
give you the flexibility to complete your assignments
and projects at home rather than spending late hours
in the lab. Most of your assignments and projects would
require long hours of execution on the computer.
What other extra computer equipment will I need
to purchase for this programme?
You are advised to have an external hard disk, thumb
drive and CD burner for storing and transferring purposes.
Will all the design I do now be on the computer?
Yes, most of your work will need to be executed on the
computer.
Do I need to have strong drawing skills for
this programme?
It will be an added advantage to have strong drawing
ability, as all of your work would require you to visualize/illustrate
your ideas and present them to your lecturers before
executing on the computer.
How many students are there per class?
Around 15 – 30 students per class.

DIGITAL ANIMATION
Do I need to buy a computer?
You are encouraged to own a computer (preferably PC)
when you begin majoring in Digital Animation. Your own
computer will give you the flexibility to complete your
assignments and projects at home rather than spending
late hours in the lab.
It’s crucial because the course will require a
lot of hands-on experience and familiarity with electronic
tools and equipment. Our 3D & 2D labs are open for
booking for Digital Animation students from 7.00pm –
4.00am (weekdays).
What other extra computer equipment will I need to purchase
for this programme?
You are advised to have an external hard disk, thumb
drive and CD burner for storing and transferring purposes.
Will all the design I do now be on the computer?
Mostly, but not all. Hand-drawn folios are still required
to reflect your abilities in handling broad media (both
traditional & computer).
Do I need to have strong drawing skills for
this programme?
It will be an added advantage if you who have strong
drawing ability. But do not worry because our programme
will train you from basic fundamental principles &
techniques before moving to advanced practices.
How many students are there per class?
Around 15 – 30 students per class.

ADVERTISING DESIGN
Do I need to buy a computer?
It would be an added advantage to own a computer but
it is not a must. Having your own computer will provide
you the flexibility and convenience to do your class
projects.

to purchase for this programme?
A thumb drive would be convenient for storing and transferring
purposes.
Will all the design I do now be on the computer?
Mostly, but not all. Hand drawn folios are still required
to reflect your abilities in handling broad media (both
traditional & computer).

drawing ability. But do not worry because our programme

years with us.
