BUS SERVICES

RAPID KL
• RM2.00 per trip to any destination along its bus route per day.
• Air-conditioned
• Machine operated ticketing system.

METRO BUS
. RM2.00 per trip from Kuala Lumpur Kota Raya to Bandar Sunway.
. Air-conditioned.
. Manual ticketing system.

TAXI

• Fare is charged according to meter reading. Rates are at RM2.00 for the first kilometre and 10 cents for every subsequent 200 metres.
• A surcharge of 50% extra to the meter fare is levied between midnight and 6am.
• An additional 20 sen per person is charged for more than 2 passengers in the taxi.
• All taxis are allowed to carry up to 4 passengers.
• A charge of RM1.00 is charged for all baggage in the taxi trunk.
• All toll charges will be borne by passengers.

• There is an additional charge of RM1.00 for taxis booked by phone.
• For taxis departing from the railway station, you need to purchase coupons to your destinations at the taxi counter at the station.
• For limousines departing from the airport, you also need to purchase coupons to your destinations at the limousine counter at the airport.

LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT (LRT)


KTM Commuter
The trains operate in 2 routes and that is from:
• Rawang to Port Klang
• Sentul to Seremban.

However, the train does stop at several stations along its daily route. This is the most ideal choice of transportation if your journey starts from Kuala Lumpur to Mines Resort City.

STAR LRT
It consists of 2 routes and that are from:
• Sri Petaling to Sentul
• Ampang to Sentul Timur.

Both routes will transit at Chan Sow Lin Station.

Each train will enter the stations one in every 5 minutes. Feeder bus services are available at any station to the route destinations with a fare of 50 cents per trip.

PUTRA LRT
This rail system links both the eastern and western suburbs of Kuala Lumpur servicing some of its most affluent and heavily populated areas.

It provides a service level of 90 seconds during peak hours and between 5 to ten minutes during off-peak hours.

The service is provided from 6.00am until 12.00 midnight (Monday – Saturday) and 8.00am to 11.00pm on Sunday and Public Holidays. There are also feeder bus services within 3-km radius from each station.

TELEPHONE SERVICES

People usually use phone cards to make calls. Phone cards of various denominations are available for sale at certain outlets at Bandar Sunway.

Subscriber Trunk Dialling (STD)
Subscriber Trunk Dialling (STD) provides a fast and convenient way to make trunk calls to all states in Malaysia.

Example how to make STD calls:
• Dial Malaysia state code
• Dial person’s numberTelephone Calls to Singapore

To make calls to Singapore, dial the country code (02), followed by the person’s number.

You may also dial the toll free number 1 800 800 065 and you will be connected to the Singapore operator.International Direct Dialling (IDD) Service IDD service provides a fast and convenient way to make international telephone calls.

Example how to make IDD calls:
• Dial international dialling code: 00
• Dial country code and country’s area code
• Dial person’s number

It helps to know your country and area code, in case you need to call home in an emergency.

You will be able to look up your country code in the telephone directory, or enquire the Reception or from the Student Services.

You may also call the International Telephone operator at 108 for assistance.
